Nevel Artisan Ales(NL) - Bast, Barrel-aged dark beer with trees 5,7%

Bast is special wild wood aged dark beer, a kind of woody beer, made with the bark of the birch tree. Next to that they've added tops of the spruss tree and branches of the black thorn with blossom on them. Dark, soft acidity and a bit of liquorice and a lot of nature. 

The long period of 11 months on wood, gives Bast its rich and warm and layered flavour profile. The earthy notes wonder around for a while in its after taste. 

5.7% ABV
