This might be one of our all time favourites of Nevel. 

Rust is a wood aged wild blond weer and in this batch they've used local De Groene Bel hop variety. 

What you will notice from the start of tasting, is its wood aged character, not too heavy but pleasantly noticeable through out the whole beer. Juicy aroma's of sweet mandarin with a fresh hint of water mint, creating a calm vinous well balanced flavour profile. Underneath you can taste the warm malty tones that form the rich foundation of the beer. In its after taste you will find a soft echo of the Saaz dry hop, together with the tannines of the woods that offer a earthy and light bitterness. 

Rust has aged for 12 months on oak barrels. It won the bronze medal at the 2019 Dutch Beer Challenge, in the category innovative/special - wood aged.
