The second batch of Aard is a total new beer. This time they use beetroot and absinth for this earthy mysterious beer.
Aard has been raging for 2 years on oak barrels that gives it a soft acidity with deep tones of beetroot and juice red fruit. They added absinth wormwood which gives it a nice bitterness.
The beetroots are from organic farm Gordon's Spoor and the wormwood from the Ommuurde Tuinen in Renkum.
Aard is dry, crisp, fruity and vinous, a unique play of these wonderful ingredients. Full of flavour, soft in acidity and very special for a beer where so much is happening.
